The QUESTION is ....

I received a message from Christina with the content like this:

"Hello, .....we will be providing pizza and peanuts for the next bike night. Just wanted to let you know so then you can include it in your forum...........".

I think we can quickly fill the house with this announcement but we have to be careful. I don't think they are aware of the number of riders will be showing up if we post it up on the other side/site of the world. It's fair to go with R.S.V.P. for pizza? They are our official sponsor, therefore, this is the benefit for our "members only" program.

Say free anything on the other site and all kinds of vultures come out of the wood works, like at the OGM OCM appreciation night.
On the other hand, if you have a hundred bikers show up for free pizza and peanuts, it might indicate a presence. But after the free event, how many of those would actually return to said restaurant?
I know that after the OGM appreciation night, us regulars have returned (what happened to the other 150 people?).

Perhaps this is a question for the all-wise advisory board.

but seriously, I think that if they are going to supply pizza we should at least show our support back to them and have a collection/Tip jar from our members in addition to our regular tips we give the girls. Just a little something extra to show them we appreciate them also. A dollar or two goes along way you know!

I talked with Annie the next day about "Did they receive enough tips from our group?". She was very polite about it and said it was enough. I agree with you on having tip jar/pitcher going around.

Agree with the tip jar. Those girls were workin extra hard for us that night and we need to show our appreciation.

I am guilty of forgetting to tip at MS. It occurred to me on my way home. I'll have to tip extra the next time, right when my smoothie is brought.
